Submit to our 20th issue
Five years and 20 issues later, here we are, and we have a new theme: SHORT SHORTS.
For this issue, we're looking for your shortest works. We're celebrating brevity – honing in on short shorts with big hearts: flash fiction, tiny poetry, and small essays.
Editors Carlotta and Annabelle say:
"We want your shortest possible works, the ones that skim your knees and make your parents mad. Poems that show off a little ass. Essays with stretch marks, stories with tan lines. SHORT SHORTS is a celebration of flash fiction, tiny poems, quick essays. Open our hearts and leave us wanting more. Flash us, moon us. We want 300-500-word stories and essays. Poems that we can hold in the palm of our hands. Sentences that curl around our tongues. An open window. A world in the blink of an eye."
We're celebrating our 20th issue (!) by publishing the winners of our 2018 Flash Fiction Contest, alongside interviews and features and surprises. Submissions open on Wednesday 22 August and close on Sunday 9 September 2018.
