Where is home for you?
I've moved five times in the last year—and one of those was a big uprooting from New England to Arizona—so home has been shifting. Right now, home is a little apartment in central Tucson that I'm just starting to fill up with weird art and furniture scavenged from the side of the road. I got this amazing couch on Craigslist just a couple weeks ago and it has helped make the apartment feel like a place where people actually live.
Do you like being home alone?
More than anything. There’s nothing better than having my own little space and spending time in it by myself. Plus, not wearing pants.
What song(s) remind you of home?
A song that is specific to my tiny home in Tucson: 'Squalor Victoria,' by The National;
A song that transcends time to remind me of every home I’ve ever had: 'Broadripple is Burning,' by Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s;
A song that makes me feel at home anywhere: 'What You Love You Must Love Now,' by The Six Parts Sev.
